Zapier to n8n migration
Zapier to n8n migration
WebsNexus moves your Zaps and Make scenarios to n8n, on n8n Cloud or your own server. We rebuild each one, merge Zaps that belong together, add error alerts, and run old and new side by side before switching anything off. Teams usually move because task-based bills keep rising or data needs to stay on their own infrastructure.

What we migrate
What is a Zapier to n8n migration?
A Zapier to n8n migration rebuilds your Zaps as n8n workflows, so the same automations run on n8n Cloud or your own server. Because n8n bills per workflow run, not per step, long or frequent automations usually cost less, and self-hosting keeps data on your infrastructure.
Zaps and Make scenarios
Every active automation listed, checked for whether it is still needed, then rebuilt as an n8n workflow.
Merged workflows
Several small Zaps that share a trigger become one n8n workflow with branches, which is easier to maintain.
Custom code and API calls
Code steps and webhooks moved to n8n Code and HTTP Request nodes, for apps without a ready-made connector.
Self-hosted n8n
Optional n8n server on Docker in your own cloud account, with backups and HTTPS.
05AI steps
Zapier AI steps rebuilt with n8n's AI agent nodes, using the model provider you choose.
What we deliver
What the migration includes
The migration includes an inventory of every Zap, a rebuilt n8n workflow for each one you keep, error alerts and retries, a side-by-side test period, exported workflow files and documentation. If you want it, we also set up and maintain a self-hosted n8n server.
- 01An inventory of your Zaps or scenarios, with run counts and which ones can be retired
- 02Each automation rebuilt in n8n with error handling, retries and failure alerts
- 03A side-by-side test period, so no record is missed during the switch
- 04Exported workflow files and a short document for each workflow
- 05Optional self-hosted n8n setup and a monthly maintenance plan
Process
How we move your Zaps to n8n
We move your Zaps to n8n in four steps: list them, agree what to migrate, merge or retire, rebuild and run them in parallel, then switch each Zap off once its n8n version has run cleanly. Nothing is turned off before its replacement is proven.
- 01Export and list every Zap or scenario, its trigger, steps, monthly runs and owner
- 02Agree which to migrate, merge or retire, and a fixed price for the batch
- 03Rebuild in n8n and run each workflow in parallel with the original on real data
- 04Switch off each Zap only after its n8n version has run cleanly, then cancel or downgrade the Zapier plan
Timeline
How long does a Zapier to n8n migration take?
A Zapier to n8n migration takes 3 to 5 days for up to five simple Zaps and 1 to 2 weeks for 10 to 20 Zaps. Larger accounts with AI steps take 2 to 4 weeks. Setting up self-hosted n8n adds 2 to 3 days.
- Up to 5 simple Zaps
- 3-5 days
- 10-20 Zaps, some merged
- 1-2 weeks
- Self-hosted n8n setup
- 2-3 days
- Large account with AI steps
- 2-4 weeks
Pricing
How much does it cost to migrate from Zapier?
Migrating from Zapier to n8n costs from $200 per rebuilt workflow at WebsNexus. A self-hosted n8n setup starts from $300, AI workflows from $400, and a batch migration across departments from $1,000. Most clients recover the cost through lower monthly automation bills.

Is it worth it?
Should you move from Zapier to n8n?
You should move from Zapier to n8n if your bill is rising with task volume, your Zaps have many steps, you handle sensitive data, or you need custom code or AI agents. Stay on Zapier if your automations are few, short and built by non-technical staff who manage them alone.
- Your Zapier plan keeps moving up a tier because of task volume
- Several Zaps have 5 or more steps, or run thousands of times a month
- Workflows handle customer, health or financial data you would rather self-host
- You hit limits on code steps, loops or branching
- You want AI agents that call your own tools and data
- You have a developer or partner who can look after n8n

FAQ
Zapier to n8n Migration FAQs
Can Zaps be imported into n8n automatically?
No. There is no one-click import from Zapier to n8n, so each Zap is rebuilt. That is usually a benefit: related Zaps get merged, error handling is added and steps that only existed to save tasks are removed.
Will we miss any runs during the migration?
No. Each n8n workflow runs in parallel with the original Zap on real data first. We only switch off a Zap after its n8n version has run cleanly, so there is no gap.
How much can we save by moving from Zapier to n8n?
It depends on your volume. Zapier bills per task, so a 5-step Zap that runs 1,000 times a month uses about 5,000 tasks; n8n Cloud counts that as 1,000 executions, and self-hosted n8n has no execution limit. We estimate the saving from your real run counts before you commit.
Should we self-host n8n or use n8n Cloud?
Use n8n Cloud if nobody can look after a server. Self-host if you have high volumes or sensitive data that should stay on your infrastructure. We can set up and maintain either.
Can you migrate from Make (Integromat) too?
Yes. Make scenarios are rebuilt in n8n the same way: listed, merged where sensible, tested side by side, then switched over.
