Case study — QA & Software Testing

BidRoyale

Ruthless QAbefore launch

BidRoyale is a promotional e-commerce platform with live sessions, a credit system and bonus rewards. When money moves through unusual logic, small bugs get expensive. We tested it before its 30 September 2026 launch. This is the kind of launch risk we cover in our QA & Software Testing service.

The challenge

Not a normal shop.A normal checkout test wasn’t enough.

Users buy credits, spend them on sessions, and either win a discounted product or receive Bonus Shopping. Every path moves money or balance.

Every checkout path has real financial consequences. One broken rule can create the wrong balance, duplicate a refund or make the wrong user win a table slot.

  • 01Credits must be deducted, refunded and bonused correctly, every time
  • 02Sessions of up to 100 participants must fill, close and resolve without conflicts
  • 03Winner selection (lowest unique offer) has to be exact
  • 04Costs shown to users (entry fee, price, shipping, total) must match what is charged
  • 05The free demo and VIP-only tables must stay separate from real sessions

That is not a shopping flow. It is a money-moving rules engine — and bugs in the rules create real customer trust problems.

What we tested

Six high-riskpaths

Every path that touched a table, balance or reward was tested before launch.

01

Session engine

Table filling, offers, unique-lowest logic, closing and winner resolution.

02

Credits & payments

Purchase flows, deduction, automatic refunds, unsubscribing before a table is full.

03

Bonus Shopping

Correct percentages (10/15/20%) credited to non-winners and matching totals shown to users.

04

Access rules

Free demo, VIP waitlist tables, registration and login gating. No cross-table leakage.

05

Catalog & filters

Participants, credits, categories and the “buy now” flow across product variants.

06

Cross-device & bilingual

IT/EN experience, mobile and desktop browsers, cookie consent and in-site assistant behavior.

The hard part

It was neverthe checkout

Concurrency on full tables

The last seats on a table are where race conditions live. We fired simultaneous joins, offers and unsubscribes at nearly-full tables to confirm a table never overfills, a closed table accepts nothing, and a winner is resolved exactly once.

The money must add up

Every figure a user sees — entry fee, product price, shipping, total and bonus percentage — was reconciled against what was actually charged, refunded or credited, across purchase, refund and unsubscribe paths.

Rules gating access

Demo credits, VIP waitlist tables and logged-out visitors each follow their own rules. We checked every role against every table type, so free play can never reach a real session and VIP tables stay VIP.

The result

Launch-readywhere it counts

Sessions, credits, refunds, bonuses and access rules were all tested on mobile and desktop, in Italian and English, before BidRoyale opens officially on 30 September 2026.
